Broccoli

Days to Harvest: 50 to 90 days.
Light: Sunny, but will tolerate light shade.
Temperature: Cold season, between 45° to 65° F.
Preparation: Broccoli likes rich, well-drained soil with lots of organic matter.
Planting: Start seeds inside 6 to 8 weeks before last frost.
Companions: Geraniums, dill, alliums, rosemary, nasturtium, and borage.
Avoid Planting Near: Mustards, tomatoes, and peppers.
Spacing: 15 to 18 inches between plants, in rows three feet apart.
Water: Keep moist, but not waterlogged
Harvest: Cut off the the main head, and then continue to harvest sideshoots all season.
Tips: Use row covers for an even earlier harvest.
