Preparation: Start seeds indoors and transplant into garden.

Harvest: Pick young leaves for salad mixes or use full size for bunching. Can withstand heavy frosts and be harvested into the winter with protection. To prolong harvest, pick the outside leaves at the base of the plant without disturbing central growing tip.
